Hair Care
Because each LollyB unit is made with real human hair, you should treat it as you would treat your actual hair. The more careful and gentler you are to your wig, the longer it will last.
Washing your wigs/bundles
If the hair begins to feel sticky or dry, it might be time to give it a rinse! You should wash your unit every one or two weeks depending on how frequently you wear it.
- Rinse: Rinse your wig with lukewarm water.
- Shampoo: Place a small amount of shampoo in your hands and stroke the hair from root to end. Try not to be heavy-handed when shampooing. Avoid scrubbing the hair.
- Condition: Use a hydrating conditioner and allow it to set for 2-5 minutes. Comb through with your fingers
- Air Dry: Place your wig on a stand to air dry. Avoid using a blow dryer and brushing the hair until the wig is completely dry. Once it is no longer dry, you can style your wig as you normally would.
- Curly Units: Detangle your units ONLY when the hair is wet (detangling your hair while it's dry can cause breakage, shedding, and loss of hair). Make sure to use a leave-in conditioner/water mix to help keep your curls/waves moisturized. ALWAYS comb/detangle from the ends up.
Keeping your wigs
Whenever you are not using your wigs, the proper way to store it is on a mannequin or on a hook of some kind so it doesn’t get tangled. Also, cover it to avoid dust.
Styling
Always comb or brush your hair from the bottom up, small sections at a time. For any styling that involves heat, please make sure that you have your heat protectant in hand first! Heat is your hair’s biggest enemy. The more heat you use on your hair, the shorter the lifespan of your hair. High temperatures can damage your hair, including permanently altering the texture of your hair.
